Margaret Clark, who goes by “Maggie”, received her Bachelors Degree in Human Development, and Masters Degree in Counseling from Sonoma State University. For the past five years practicing as a psychotherapist, Maggie's theoretical orientation developed as a holistic, client centered approach, with the belief that a persons early childhood experiences and attachments shape their understanding of the world. She has a rich background working with children and adolescents with complex trauma. In her current work, the focus has been working with individual adults and adolescents struggling with Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, and Addiction. She also finds passion in working with Couples around building communication skills, trust and intimacy. Maggie is certified in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Positive Parenting Program for Parents of Teenagers (Triple-P Teen). She has also completed an Intensive Training on Collaborative Couples Therapy (CCT), which continues to inspire her current work with couples. The CCT training took place in November 2016. In the beginning of the year, the certification for Triple-P Teen was issued by the University of Queensland: Parenting and Family Support Centre, in January of 2016. The MI certification was issued by Petaluma People Services Center in June of 2015.
